How to make language students critical users of Internet resources?In Australia, virtual resources are a welcome complement to conventional teaching resources at the disposal of French learners and teachers.
However despite clear instructions and specific classroom activities designed to develop a critical approach of the Internet as a research tool, I find students mostly use it indiscriminately.
Is this the result of the undeniable 'power of the screen'? Can a critical mind be developed with, and about, Internet resources? Do learners need specific tools in this case? Does the discipline taught make any difference?
